About StickSnak

We created StickSnak because most protein snacks felt like a compromise.

Too sweet, overly processed, packed with fillers, or designed more for marketing than nutrition.

So we started building the kind of snack we actually wanted to eat ourselves: a convenient, high-protein beef snack made with straightforward ingredients, proper nutrition, and full transparency about what’s inside.

Our sticks are made in the Netherlands using modern curing and preservation techniques that help keep the product safe and shelf stable without relying on sugar-heavy formulations. We openly list every ingredient we use — including additives — and explain why they’re there.

Why We Use Certain Additives

We believe food brands should explain ingredients honestly instead of pretending they don’t exist.

That’s why we openly use and disclose ingredients like:

  • Encapsulated lactic acid — helps lower pH for food safety and shelf stability
  • Sodium ascorbate — supports curing consistency and color stability
  • Nitrate curing salt — protects against harmful bacteria during the curing process

These ingredients are widely used in cured meat production and help us create a safe, stable, high-quality snack without adding sugar-heavy preservation systems.
